Each year, after completing an economics unit, students participate in a service learning project called Market Day. Students create products to sell at Market Day. Real money is exchanged for economic currency and all money received is donated to a charity that the students choose. This year, students chose to donate the money to Kids' Harbor (Child Advocacy Center). Kids' Harbor helps to provide an environment that feels welcoming and safe to children after they have experienced trauma.
